Convert a Facebook page into a profile

Hello,
I am encountering a problem with a page I just created, but I can only invite friends from my friends list, and I would like to invite new ones. So, since I see that this is not possible, I would like to change my page to a profile.
How can I do that?

    1) What type of page do you have? Group? Fan?
    2) What is the purpose of this page?

      This is a page called cause...
      but it's to develop my profession as an art therapist and I can't seem to add new contacts.
