Hello,
I have a problem. Before, I used Roxio to burn DVDs and everything was fine, but I just bought a new camcorder and I have an installation CD with Roxio My DVD. I installed it and I'm following the instructions in the manual to transfer the video sessions from my camcorder to my PC. I go to DVD Video - Open Disk, and then there is a bar that says Progression, and when I reach the end, a window opens: an error report asking whether to send or not send... I don't understand.
If you could help me, it would be very kind.
Thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

If it's a camcorder with a mini disk, you don't need MyDVD for Canon from Roxio; the DVD drive of the computer will read it, and you can transfer, edit, and burn it without going through the camcorder, but you just need software to work on it (like Pinnacle or others).

Hi, what is the error message? Did you uninstall your software and reinstall it? Is it a hard drive camcorder? See you later.

No, I haven't tried, but I don't know if it's because of that, but my PC no longer has hard drive space?

Do you mean not enough free space?

Hello,

I have the same problem, the DVD burning doesn't finish, I contacted Sonic, no response!!! They are useful when you need nothing! I don't know what's causing this, I've tried everything! 100 euros for the software and it's a piece of crap! If you have any tips, I'm all ears, thanks! flatsix 94

Hello,
I have a Canon DC10 camcorder and the Magix Video software, as Roxio my DVD for Canon does not work under Vista.
When I transfer my movie directly from the player and want to open it to access all my scenes, it
only shows a thumbnail with the entire movie inside.
How can I separate all the scenes?
Thank you for your help.

Hello totonmimi
--all editing software looks alike: I suppose that on yours in the lower half there is a "timeline": I call it the rail: it's a horizontal bar graduated like centimeters on a ruler: try to drag the thumbnail from where it is on this rail: the sequences will open one after the other.
To get the hang of it, I recommend practicing with the software Movie Maker 2 which is part of the Windows XP package and is a very educational model for learning to start editing.
However, once you know how to do it, you will need to move to commercial software because Movie Maker produces films that can be played on the PC but rarely on the home player.

Hang in there and keep at it: we will get there! we will get there!
