How to install a Ricoh Aficio MP C2050 printer on Mac?

Hello

I have a problem. I am working on a MAC version 10.7.5 and the printer at my job is a Ricoh Aficio MP C2050.
I installed the driver from the RICOH website, which says that the download was successful, but I can't detect the printer on my computer.
Or maybe I just don't know how to detect it.
Can you please help me???

    It is necessary to have a PostScript card installed on the printer in order to use it with a Mac. Therefore, it is not a driver issue on your Mac.

    Hello,

    Downloading the driver is not enough; you also need to install it, restart the Mac, then go to the Apple menu/System Preferences/Printers/Printer Configuration and add it to the list, if it does not appear, by clicking on the plus sign (+)
    If the driver is the right one and the printer is Mac compatible, it should work.

    Unfortunately, even after restarting my computer, the printer does not show up.
    How do we configure it? Knowing that the software and the printer are compatible with my Mac.
    I pressed the "+" button to install a new printer, but nothing appears.

      After downloading the driver, what did you do? Double-click the .dmg file to open it? Then install it? If so, you should find this file in your Applications folder, is that the case?

      PS: Are you sure it's compatible? That the downloaded driver is the right one? Because according to my research, there is no driver for Mac OS X 10.7! The last driver is for 10.6, but maybe it works for 10.7!

      Indeed, the driver is suitable for my version after all.
      I finally managed to connect my computer to the printer!

      However, now a new problem has arisen....:
      When I want to print, for example a Word page, the printer starts up but tons of sheets come out with codes written on them such as:
      " % ! PS- Adobe - 3.0 " for example!

      Do you have any idea for this new problem?

      Hello,

      First, you can repair the permissions:
      To repair the permissions
      Go to Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility/select the disk (HD) menu First Aid/Repair..... and let it run.

      If the result is not good, go to "user" (the little house, you) Library/Preferences and put all the files that start with "com.apple.print..." in the trash.
      Restart your Mac and try to print.
      Don't worry, the preference files will be rebuilt automatically.
