Good evening
I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Since this morning, every time I launch Internet Explorer, the home page, Google, does not open.
Should I reinstall Internet Explorer without uninstalling the version that is not working, and if so, do you have the right link to avoid downloading anything unreliable? Additionally, will I be able to keep all my favorites??
Thank you for your help
Best regards

good evening
that's what I tried to do but
- internet explorer doesn't appear in the programs to uninstall in the control panel.
- when I try to install internet explorer 10, it tells me that it's already installed..
I admit I'm stuck....
if you have any other idea to move things forward!!!!!!
thanks again
have a good evening

Well...
Let's try to repair IE without reinstalling it then.
In the Windows 7 Start menu search bar, type iexplore.exe -extoff (purpose: open IE without add-ons).
If it works, clean up your IE add-ons (you can use ADWcleaner which can do the cleaning for you).

If it doesn't work... all is not lost, there is still a solution, restore the system to a point before the problems appeared on Internet Explorer.

Good evening again
the launch without the add-ons didn't help, so I ran ADWCleaner and since then it's been much better.
IE 11 opened, but I cleaned up the add-ons, keeping only the main ones, and now IE 11 opens correctly.
so I consider the incident closed
thank you again for all your advice
have a good evening

Hello
that's what I did but it's still the same, Internet Explorer won't start.
I also ran "Malwarebytes" but that didn't help either.
Should I uninstall Internet Explorer 11 and reinstall an older version?
If so,
1 - which version would be best suited for Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1
2 - how should I proceed to uninstall Internet Explorer 11?
Thank you for your valuable advice.

It would be Internet Explorer 10 but it doesn't seem like a good idea to me.
IE11 can be uninstalled like any other program from the control panel.

Check via Windows Update that Windows 7 is up to date (and if some updates do not resolve the issue you are experiencing with IE11).
