Hello everyone,
I have a GO GEAR PHILIPS GB with FM radio, since 2004. It had to be reset once by the after-sales service 2 months after purchase. Since then no problem, I have 485 tracks on it, with a bit of space left, but I haven’t saved anything! Today it won’t turn on; if I plug it into the mains the screen lights up slightly but nothing happens. It hasn’t received any impact, nothing at all. Since it doesn’t respond I tried to reset it but nothing happens. Could someone help me, and explain how to get it working again? I can’t afford to have the service center check it anymore.
Thanks in advance for your answers.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

I found the solution to the problem because I had the same issue too. Behind your GoGear player, at the bottom right there is a small "reset" button; you need to take a needle and press it to restart it. I did it and I thought I would lose all my music, but no. So try it and ask again if needed. goodbye everyone

Hello, I had the same problem as you, so I got fed up and I slammed it against the wall.
Now it doesn’t work anymore.
Then I took it apart, I rubbed the hard drive connector, I removed it and then I put everything back together after removing the ton of dust there was.
Now it works!! but I have the touch, so I don’t care ^^ (Mp3 easy to dismantle) -
I don’t have the same problem as you ...
My PC doesn’t detect my Philips, saying that the driver isn’t good ...
So, could someone tell me which driver is needed for my MP4 to be detected ?? -

Hello everyone,
I have a 6 GB GoGear currently, and a message appears on the screen such as: please connect player to pc! To fix it I was advised to use Philips Device Manager, but I can't download this software, where could I find it? thank you in advance -
I have a problem with my Gogear 2GB; it doesn’t connect to the computer because it fell into water.

Hi, I just bought the Philips GoGear SA3125 2GB/GO FM MP4 and I haven’t had anything yet, but know that you can repair it via the internet I think, because mine I can do it, so here it is maybe read your user manual and the problems section; this is all I can tell you about it @++

Hello, I would like to know if there are games to download for this MP4? thank you.....................................................

When the screen flickers, you must press sleep-wake and connect to the PC at the same time.
do not release and launch your Phillips Device Manager and select repair.
It repairs everything (but also wipes everything) -

Well, my problem is solved ...
But Audrey, maybe try to format it ...
If you really have a problem, go check in the shop where you bought it
(hoping for you that it’s still under warranty) -
Hello,
I also have a GoGear, but I don’t have your problem. However, I believe that MP3/video players with Li-polymer or Li-ion batteries tend to have their battery deteriorating over time. Therefore, you need to buy a new battery if you want your player to work again. -
Hello,
me too I have a problem with my Philips gogear 6 GB

I have a problem too... But not the same as yours. In fact, it's my PC that won't detect my MP4 [player], saying I don't have the right driver, so could someone tell me which driver is needed for my MP4 to be detected?

I don’t have the same problem as you and I haven’t found anyone to help me!!!
the more I listen to songs, after a while every time I listen to songs they cut off in the middle and move to the next one or the screen locks until the battery is drained and it stays on and I can’t turn it on again!

I have a problem with my Philips GoGear SA3124 2GB player: it wouldn’t turn on, so I put it in recovery mode. I opened Device Manager and started the repair, but at the end a window appears indicating that the firmware update failed. So I disconnect it and try to turn it on again to no avail. I reconnect it to restart the repair, which again ends with the same error message. What should I do, please help me please.
