Hello,
I have an Epson CX4300 printer that I bought three years ago. It has worked very well.
All of a sudden, it stops, with a green light and two red lights. According to the documentation, it has reached the end of its life. It seems that it can be reset, but I don’t know how. If anyone can help me.
Thank you in advance.

Can you scan an image to your PC...?
Can you make a photocopy locally...?
Can you make a photocopy locally...?
Good evening,
"... It seems to me that we can reset it..."
That's right, it seems you’re correct, my friend.
To reset it, you can use WICRESET (paying, but free to use in diagnostic mode), the Adjustment Program by Orthotamine for the CX4300 that you can find on Google, or even that old SSC Server utility which has been abandoned for quite some time now...
If you can't find the Adjustment Program on Google for FREE, you can buy it from this reliable site:
http://www.wasteinkpads.com
In this video, I use WICreset and the Adjustment Program for the SX230. For all EPSONs, the principle remains the same...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwbq_9DdlfU
And if you look at my posts on the forum, you’ll learn a lot of things :-)) ... and you’ll save me from repeating myself, again, again, again, again, again, again...
Your turn to play.
Best regards to all those who know that they do not know... And shame on the little pretentious blabbermouths and the princes of nonsense who come to fill our heads with their "planned obsolescence" nonsense!!!!
The planned obsolescence is the smoke screen that prevents us from seeking solutions.

And you don't print either...?? Even with Puces2's advice
And which lights are on..??
How long has it been since you last printed with this printer..??
Because there are the eternal problems of ink and print heads.. Clogged
Because I tried his program, it works.

I still can't print. There are three lights on: the power light is green, and there are 2 others in red (they are flashing), namely the paper out light and the ink out light.
As for the time, I printed for a few minutes (10 to 15 minutes) before having this problem. I'm sure it's not an issue with the ink or the print heads.

What allows us to affirm that this is not an ink problem..??
There is a menu that shows the ink level of the cartridges... So tell me what the ink level of the cartridges is, is there at least one that is empty...?
Is the USB connection working at least..?? It looks like the connection is interrupted, the scanner should be functioning.
--- There might be a piece of paper that has torn and is stuck inside and is being detected as a jam

Thank you,
For your information, I can’t access the ink level menu but I was able to remove them and see that none of the cartridges are empty.
The USB connection is good and there is no torn paper.
For your information, according to the documentation, the lights that come on mean this: "waste ink pad in the printer is saturated."
Additionally, I was able to access the scanner mode and scan a document but without being able to print it.
Thank you once again.

OK, so this message means that the "sponge is saturated with ink"... or: "waste ink tank is full." In short: there is a big felt pad at the bottom of the printer that collects the ink ejected during the printhead cleaning or leaks... And there's a sensor for that.
Or it could be an electronic error... So draw your own conclusion; based on what you've done... you must have emptied all your ink into it and now you're stuck, because it's overflowing..
The solution is to access this felt layer at the bottom of the machine and replace it (or remove it) and clean the sensor and tape it up so it no longer detects... But you might have leaks at the seals of your cartridges, especially if you refill them...???
Sometimes it's also the little hose that comes from the sponge underneath the printheads (when at rest) and goes into the waste ink tank... This hose can get clogged.. You just need to clear it by running a small flexible cable through it.
But you shouldn't keep printing without repairing... it will damage the printheads.
There you go... Happy tinkering, with gloves on.

re,
It's in the lower part of the machine, in the base... Or slightly at the back.
