PS : si mandriva te soule (ce que je peux comprendre) tu peux essayer une kubuntu qui marchera directement.

Que donnent les logs du coup ? Si vraiment ça te soule trop mets une (k)ubuntu feasty ça marchera directement (et en plus je me vexerai pas :p)

Tape en tant qu'utilisateur root "drakx11". Cela lancera l'outil de configuration Mandriva de l'interface graphique. Reconfigure tes paramètres, cela devrait corriger ton fichier xorg.conf. Tu peu utiliser la touche espace pour sélectionner des menus, et la touche tabulation pour te déplacer d'option en option. une fois que c'est fait, tape "service dm start" ou redémarre ta machine.

Plutôt que de modifier les fichiers à la main comme un bourrin (solution que les autres t'ont donné), apprends juste à utiliser les outils que Mandriva met à ta disposition. Si c'est la distribution qui a les meilleurs outils de configuration, c'est pas pour rien...

1) ce n'est pas bourrin
2) son fichier actuel est déjà généré par l'assistant mandriva (cf header du fichier) et ne lui convient pas
3) pour moi c'est pas les meilleurs outils, ubuntu est meilleure (j'aime conclure sur une phrase qui va faire jaser)
