Is it possible to change the language on a DVD?

Hello,

I just bought a DVD that is supposedly zone 2 but it's in German (I don't speak it). I would like to know if it's possible to change the language of the DVD (from German to French) and if so, how?

Thank you in advance for your insights

PS: I am a novice when it comes to computers

I don't understand your question. The region concerns DVD playback. Region 2 corresponds to Europe. If your player is set to region 2, you won't be able to play DVDs from the USA or China...
So your problem isn't there.
I assume (but you're not very clear) that you’re talking about the language of the menu.
Are you talking about a DVD or a DVD player?
If it's a player, you can change the menu language in the settings.
If it's a DVD, you can only change the menu language if the DVD allows it. Generally, the menu is in the language of the country via the player's settings...

Sorry if I'm not very clear. I'm talking about a DVD (not the player). I don't have a menu, so based on your response, I deduce that I won't be able to change the language of the movie.
