Hello everyone!

Having broken the LCD screen on my NIKON Coolpix S2700 camera, I am looking for a website selling a new screen and, above all, a tutorial explaining how to proceed.
Thank you for your replies.

Hello,

I can't find the part on Google... it would be better to check with Nikon or with the store where you bought it.

I think this is what you need.

http://www.ebay.fr/itm/LCD-Ecran-Display-Fit-Nikon-S2500-/120722341454?pt=FR_IQ_PhotoVideo_Accessoires_Accessoires_Photo&hash=item1c1b9cbe4e

Take a good look at the part from the S2500; I believe it's the same as for the S2700. In my opinion, there is no difference with this component.

You could always send a message to the seller... There is also a reference on the screen frame; you could search with that reference... Because the same screen is used on several types of devices.

That's my tip for the day.

Good evening Jeannets,

Thank you for the info, I will try to apply it.

Now I need to figure out how to remove the screen: I managed to take off the front panel by unscrewing the 6 screws around the device; then, I removed 2 "silver" screws on the silver top part; I also unclipped 4 clips located on the battery compartment side, but after that???
I can't see much this evening with the artificial light. I'll continue tomorrow. If there’s a tutorial, I’m interested!!

Yes, it's a meticulous job... It's better to be experienced with small manual work and have patience to dive into this... But it's doable... If you don't get frustrated...

Do a bit of searching with Google, there are videos on YouTube that show operations like this, even exactly your case...

Be methodical, organize the small screws well, take photos before disassembly... Use a magnifying glass...
