Hello,

My files open with the wrong program, my files are scs
for that I use winrar like everyone else, these are mod files for the game Euro Truck Simulator 2 and the icon I believe is originally a blank sheet but now it’s Internet Explorer

I went into a scs file in my game mods folder
the icon is still Internet Explorer anyway,
I right-click on one of the scs files and go to properties and I have

so at the top left of the small window (GENERAL)

underneath I have the famous Internet Explorer icon

underneath I have FILE TYPE: SCS File (.scs)

underneath I have OPEN WITH: Internet Explorer and to the right of that I have MODIFY

What should I do???
I don’t know where to go, what should I do???
Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 10.0

Hello,

Right-click on the file -> Open with... -> Choose the default program.

A window will appear, offering you a list of software. Make sure that the 'default program' checkbox is checked.

If Winrar is not in the list, go to Browse.

You are looking for a Winrar folder, open it and find Winrar (with the application type).

Then, click OK.

There you go, it should work now :-)

Oh, what a crazy idea to play EuroTruck Simulator too =P

Well, since you want to change the software you use to open your file, click on modify
There you choose the software you want =)
You close by clicking OK

And that's it

It smells like a sh*t registry
Download this utility --> RstAssociations
and put it on the desktop.

Run it as an administrator
Click on all
Click on restore.

Restart the PC.
