Hello,

I received a text message yesterday from 38138 asking me to urgently contact a phone number supposedly belonging to a bailiff, and to do so before further action. I called this number and a man answered, stating my maiden name and first name. Then he directed me to one of his colleagues who told me she would call me back shortly. Since then, nothing. I think it's a scam because I know for sure that I have no unpaid debts. After looking for information online, I found a website that lists the SMS number as 33700; you need to send a text to the unwanted number, in this case 38138, with the message STOP. You receive a confirmation indicating that you will no longer receive messages. I hope this works.
