Sketchup - Integrate a project into a photo Solved

Question

Hello,

I’m trying to create an extension for my house using Sketchup to get an idea of what it could look like.

I’ve made the 3D project with the program and now I would like to place it on a photo of the house.

Does anyone know how to do that?

Also, is it possible to get the plans for the extension directly or not?

I found it. You need to uncheck the foreground photo in the modeling settings.  --  nichotV

Hello,  it is possible via the command Camera > insert a new photo; a window will then open asking you to select the photo.  For the success of the operation, it is better (for ease) to have followed a few rules during the shooting:  http://support.google.com/sketchup/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=94924  Then it's about adjusting to align the vanishing points of the image with those of the model:  http://support.google.com/sketchup/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=94920  which requires a minimum knowledge of conic perspective construction:  http://surlimage.info/ecrits/perspective.html  Note that it is possible to do the reverse: import the model into the photo using bitmap drawing software. You will get a qualitatively superior result, but it requires other skills...

I tried to adapt a new photo, but the project that is already designed becomes transparent.

I start from a 3D drawing made to place it on a photo.

I am attaching 2 illustrations, the original project, and what it looks like once adapted to a new photo.
