As mentioned above, I highly recommend the OneShot 3D software, which is designed to be simple and user-friendly. It is perfectly suitable for use on a tablet.
It is a powerful and enjoyable tool for commerce and marketing to clients. They can see their pool project and its surroundings in 3D thanks to augmented reality. It really makes for a great selling point and gives a good preview of the project's outcome.
As a bonus, the software is also aimed at landscapers. ;)

Autocad does 3D...

''Blender'' for free performance and if you like to challenge yourself

''Sweet Home 3D'' open source ...haven't tested, can't comment
''Art of Illusion'' open source (less interesting than Blender in my opinion, but it's okay)
''Misfit Model 3D'' open source ...haven't tested, can't comment

Micro Application has created some decent and easy-to-use design software available in all convenience stores.
