Hello,
I have a problem with my Sony dav-dz260
Home theater system. It won't read CDs or DVDs
It says "no Disc" and asks me
to open and close the CD or DVD compartment and doesn't want to start
Purchased in October 2008, up until now no issues

Hello motte54, have you tried using a cleaning CD? After all these years, there might be some dust that has settled on the lens.
Otherwise, it could be that the lens has simply reached the end of its life, which I'm obviously not wishing for you.
