Polyline Thickness Offset

Hello,

For practical questions and presentations, I would like to draw a polyline with a thickness on the right or left side of it.
For example, to represent a sidewalk border, I want to draw the water line of it but represent it with a thickness on the side so I can sketch on the plan without error.
I hope I have been clear...
Thank you in advance for your response,
Best regards,

Vinz

    Hello,

I’m not sure I understood, but I’ll give it a try anyway ;)

You draw a polyline along the inner edge of your gutter (sidewalk side) and once done, you offset it outward (towards the gutter side).

I think this is too simple to be the answer to your question... :)

    Hello,
Thank you for your reply, but it is indeed too simple ... :-(
In fact, it's as if I wanted to thicken my polyline with the start and end option but with a right or left option of the polyline.
    Is there perhaps a routine?
Over to you, :-) Thank you
    Best regards

      Re,

well it's even simpler: you want to create a multiline:

command MLINE then S to set the step. You can also customize your multiline in the styles.

Yes, but I would have liked to use polylines...
In fact, I'm setting up a working methodology for a whole novice team on AutoCAD, and I would like to keep it as simple as possible. If I ask them to create multilines for certain lines and polylines for others, I am going to get criticized... already as it is... :-)
But wouldn't there be a little routine for that?

Well, the routine exists: it's called multiline :) and contrary to what its name might suggest, it is indeed a polyline. If you want something simpler, well, it's the first solution: polyline + Offset...

Certainly, but for me it is not resolved!
The multiline does not work for me!
During data extraction, the length of the multiline does not appear!!!
That's why I'm insisting on the polyline!
