Following a change of ink cartridges, my printer refuses to print; it's an HP C5180. On the printer's screen, it shows: ink system error, printing impossible. Err. Oxc 18a0307. I have consulted the documentation, but now nothing works. If there is anyone who can advise me on resolving the issue, please help. Thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Reset Total
Note: This operation will erase the memory of your machine (pending jobs, etc.)
- Unplug the power cord from the printer.
- Press and hold the "HELP" and "OK" buttons on your machine simultaneously.
- Now plug the power cord back in while still holding the buttons from the previous step.
- The screen will then display "DRIVE CLEAR" or a similar message may appear. You can then release the buttons.
- You can turn your machine back on and reprogram it.
I did this on a HP Photosmart C7180 and a HP C5180 and solved the problem. Bruno-

Thank you very much!!!
Fortunately, there are people who share this knowledge on the NET.
I was already prepared to throw away this printer.
But this operation successfully got the device running again.
Well done!

Hello,
I have the same issue as you. I changed the black cartridge of my "all-in-one" model c5180 and suddenly got system error 0xc18a0001.
This is not the first time I've changed the cartridge without any problem, but this time, nothing works.
Did you solve your problem? If so, how?
Thank you.

Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!
Same problem (Err. Oxc18a0307 following a cartridge change).
Is there a solution?
Thank you for your responses.

Hello,
For the ink system problem that does not reset with the reset (button # and 9), disassemble the printer on the side where the micro pump is located (left) and check that the gear wheel has not skipped. This is a recurring problem due to poor maintenance of the wheel. In this case, simply reattach it with super glue.

Have you checked that the cartridge is inserted correctly?
Changing this cartridge => was the replacement done with the same cartridge as before (because sometimes there are incompatible cartridges)?

Hello!!
Following this error message, my printer was changed by HP!!!
With the second one, recently, I still get a new error message... when I print photos!!
I had only found the solution from customer service.
