Hamachi, subnet issue

Hello everyone, so here is my problem, I installed Hamachi to play Empire Earth with friends. However, we could see the created games but couldn't join in with the error message "you are not on the same subnet." After multiple reinstallations and restarts, it worked "we don’t even know why lol." Anyway, I wanted to do the same experiment with a Quebecer but got the same error message and can't find the cause "since we didn’t even know what we had done last time." We spent the night on this, and we don't know what else to do, so I'm asking for your help. I emphasize that file sharing works very well and that we can see the created games but cannot join them, and it has already worked with my other friends. Thank you for your help. See you later.
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 1.5.0.10

Hi, I have the same problem with Hamachi, I can see the shared files, etc. but the LAN games are blocked...
I have a router too, I tried without the router, directly connecting the computer to the modem and it worked! So it's coming from the router at my place, maybe one of you has a router?

Anyway, if you find the solution, feel free to share it with us ;)

I go through livebox, I don't think it's coming from there because it has already worked with friends who also use livebox and my Quebecois friend connects directly without a router. However, this morning I noticed something: the IPs of all my friends who are working are of the style 5.136.xxx.xxx while my Quebec friend has an IP 5.137.xxx.xxx, maybe the problem comes from here. The subnet is not calculated based on the IP address? I only know the basics of networks and I'm a bit lost here.

Hello everyone

For those who like Empire Earth 2, here are the codes to access the network:

network name: empire earth
code: ticrain

Here is the solution to the problem posed, taken from here: http://forum.jeux-reseau.fr/topic-240-1.html

I quote:

In the Hamachi settings -> Preferences -> Window -> Check "Show the 'Advanced...' menu item"

Right-click on your friend in the network -> Advanced.. -> Peer VPN Alias you put 192.168.1.1
Your friend does the same for you with 192.168.1.2, then the same for the 3rd with 192.168.1.3, etc.

End of quote.

The problem is that Hamachi only requires the first number of the v4 IP address to be common. Certain applications like Empire Earth require that the first 3 numbers of this address be identical.
