Hello, I have not been able to connect to Badoo for a month now; it says Internet Explorer cannot display this web page. Does anyone have an idea on how to get everything back in order?

Hello. I found the solution (as far as I'm concerned).
On 2 PCs, it only worked on 1.
On the one that wouldn't display Badoo, neither IE10, nor Firefox, nor Chrome would work.
I could only access it through links included in the emails I receive.
So, Badoo is blocked by the browser. Why is that?
Simply because someone told it that Badoo was "a dangerous site", and the security center of the PC blocks all access to Badoo.
And at my place, it's... (drumroll): SPYBOT!!!
Yes, the same software that defends against spywares dared to list Badoo in its block list for dangerous sites.
So, I went to check the hosts file filled by Spybot, and bingo... badoo.com is indeed listed there.
I erased the entries of Badoo in the hosts file, restarted the PC, and TADAAAAA.... it works again. Badoo displays right away...
So, if you have installed Spybot, it is the one preventing you from accessing Badoo.
To go to the HOSTS file via Spybot, it's in the "startup tools" menu, then "browse system settings", HOSTS tab.
There, look for the Badoo lines... (right-click), delete.
Exit Spybot..
(or go to c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts. and delete manually)
But since the security center still has the hosts file in memory, remember to restart the PC so it considers the list of blocked sites WITHOUT Badoo.. (and therefore allow it)
And that's it... you just need to check if Badoo is mentioned in the HOSTS file and delete the lines concerning the site.
My 3 browsers now display it without problems on both PCs..
Best regards....-
Hello! First of all, thank you for your explanation. In my opinion, it can only be due to that. But I wanted to know, what did you use to modify the file? I tried with Notepad, but it saves in .txt format, while the modified file has no extension: this doesn't change the fact that I can't access the site... Thank you for your reply, if there is one!
