Hello,
Here is my problem, I need to create a wind turbine blade in CATIA using point clouds.
I've already made the "skeleton," with all the planes given by applying the chord, the spacing, and the thickness for each.
Now I need to import point clouds from certain planes, but I have no idea how to do it.
I found a method in Digitized Shape Editor, but I don't know how to import my Excel sheet in ASCII format.
Does anyone know how to do it?
Thank you for your responses.

Hello,
With an Excel sheet containing the Cartesian coordinates of the points and a macro, it's possible.
Here's an example:

Hello,
I am new to this site. Currently, I am sizing a wind turbine blade on CATIA with a spar made of composite planks (hence surface-based) and an isotropic core. For the connection of these elements to each other and to the skin of the blade (the profile), I am using welded connection properties; the only problem is that I am very far from the analytical results I calculated using the classic formulas of strength of materials.
Does anyone know if I am using the correct connection properties?
Thank you for your response.
Krencho: I don't know if you have solved your problem, but you can find an Excel sheet at this address on your CATIA: dassaultsystems/B21(your version of CATIA)/win_b64(your computer's Windows version)/code/command, and there you will find the file .xl GSD.PointSplineLoftFromExcel, enter the x, y, z coordinates of your points, and go to the macro on this same Excel sheet, select Show a macro/Sheet.main and there you will have the choice between creating points, splines... and don't forget to be in the GSD workshop on CATIA.
