Hello everyone,
I tried the experience for about 3 weeks. Strictly no contacts worth mentioning, a lot of beautiful young girls (25-35 years old) who, of course, are interested in me (55 years old). Age is not a problem, distance neither; I'm the most handsome, the smartest, the man of their life, ... and so on.
Very quickly, stereotypical phrases, full of spelling mistakes, not even written in correct French, borderline 100% illiterate.
I had fun taking one of those typical phrases and copying/pasting it into Google: bingo, I found two websites in Grenada (the Caribbean, not Spain) with a whole series of stock phrases to use to attract the gullible, typical scenarios to get money, ... manifestly very organized, except that these stock phrases are so devoid of common sense that it's ridiculous.
All the contacts I had through this site ended the same way: a few exchanges via the site, then very quickly Skype or Hangout, then identifying the scammer in front of me. I even received an insulting message from one of them, but being called a jerk by scum I take as a compliment.
In summary, no interesting contacts, only scammers, and the site does not react when you report a fake profile...
As for cancellation and refund, however, they were correct: fairly quick email responses, refund within days of my request, and definitive closure of my account on the specified date.
That's it, hoping this experience can help others.

I'm in the same situation as you; I realize that this site is pointless. However, I have already faxed the cancellation form three times, and I haven't received any confirmation email regarding the cancellation of my subscription...
So, I've sent an email to customer service, and I received almost immediately an automatic response indicating that customer service would get back to me as soon as possible, but since this morning, nothing...
How long did it take for them to respond to you, please?

I am being pursued by several debt collection companies on behalf of DATING SA on the grounds that I registered on the C-DATING site!
However, I have never registered. This is a scam.

I got tricked yesterday, believing I was paying a ridiculous amount (around 9 euros)!
I was charged 179 euros! I reported it yesterday
to my bank, which told me they couldn't reject the payment and even advised me to request a new bank card because, according to them, my account could still be used.
It's worth noting that the renewal of the contract is automatic, as is the deduction from the account without the client's agreement if the cancellation of the extension is not requested within the deadlines. On the other hand, they had the last numbers of my card before payment, which proves they were communicated by another site.

Yes, I confirm C-Dating is a scam site.
95% of fake profiles as soon as you start chatting.
Tacit renewal without having requested it.
Beware, it is very difficult to get a refund since there is no customer service worth its name! We should file a complaint.

I agree with you, this site is a huge scam. As a champion in getting duped, I fell for it. Weakness when it holds you...
Anyway, I had to spend a day on it but of course I tried the subscription and instead of one month and 30, they charged me for 6 months and 180. I can only blame myself.
What is extraordinary in the age of the internet is that to unsubscribe you have to send a fax (or a pigeon...). Sensing the scam, I simply blocked my credit card to prevent them from charging me the 180 euros when the 6 months of this fabulous experience ended. You never know if the fax arrived and the trust we can have with these crooks is nil.
Anyway, they just sent me an email informing me that I had to pay this amount and will be passing it to a collections agency.
An experience? An idea?

Casual Bidouille - STAY AWAY from this site

I'm a guy, a 6-month subscription, with a complete profile (photos, ...). after 1.5 months of use.
A 90% scam (I'll leave a margin of 10% for there must be some genuine contacts).
Fake profiles, scams trying to get you to undress on Skype and blackmail you with the release of the video online for a sum of money, ...
They claim 2 million members in France, BUT when there are 30 women online, that's the max. For your searches, you cannot select an age range, nor a region or department, ... total nonsense.

Stay away from casual dating.

Recommendable PEI site.
The interest is poor. The pre-made discussions
A cancellation system designed to squeeze the maximum profit.
You have to find a non-existent form with a customer service that gives you instructions that don't match the site.
Pure delight to get scammed by a company located in Luxembourg with a commercial code not very favorable to the customer.

Hello to you who are looking into this "dating" site.
The only advice I can give you is to look elsewhere; there are many other sites that are much more serious and much more honest.

I registered at first, I don't really know why, for 6 months because it was the shortest offer.
I quickly understood why I shouldn't have registered. The only contacts I had seemed to come from automated response systems or people who clearly didn't take the time to read the messages.
Otherwise, the people to contact were generally more than 200 km away from me (and I live in one of the 4 largest cities in France).

I wanted to unsubscribe very quickly. No refund possible, which I understand.

HOWEVER, after going through the site and checking/unchecking everything I could to no longer be associated with this site (I followed their so-called unsubscribe procedures), I was hit with an automatic charge of 239.40 euros a year later!!!

I feel compelled to report my credit card as lost or stolen in hopes that things will stop...

Of course, I tried to contact them by email, but again, I only received an automated response!!!

Believe me, whatever you are looking for, you won't find it there... unless it's trouble...

In Belgium, there is rendez-vous.be which is the historical Belgian site. Unfortunately, it is only for Belgians (at the regional border but if you are in Dordogne, it's not going to work ;) but it's very clean because they check through a free SMS sent only to Belgian phones. This avoids all those African scammers and other exotica. Moreover, they refuse virtual numbers, so there is very little risk.
Generally speaking, be wary of free sites because they don’t verify anything (which makes sense since it’s free, they’re not going to lose money paying people to verify).
Email verification is a bit pointless because you can create a fake address in 3 seconds.
It’s harder to change your phone number in 3 seconds ;)
Never give out private information at the beginning of a conversation and especially never pay a dime to someone you haven’t met in person.
It’s so basic that it’s surprising that people still get scammed in 2023.
