Hello,
I've been trying to download a ru-tube video for a long time, but every method I've tested has failed. If you know how to download a ru-tube video, I would really appreciate a suitable software recommendation, please.

Hello, after hours of searching I finally found a good program to download videos from Rutube. It's called Raljeta..
tradiz.org/Rutube/Raljeta
- Unzip the archive into a folder,
- launch the program
- the program goes to the taskbar, it's listening
- go to the Rutube page of the video
- copy the address of that page to the clipboard (right-click copy)
- the program constantly checks the clipboard, so it will immediately recognize the address and offer you to save the video wherever you want
Super simple
For your information, Rutube works with pieces of video that Raljeta will download one by one and then merge them. That's probably why most video downloaders struggle with Rutube..-
The software performs the same operation I propose but automatically (script), which is pretty good. As for the pieces, the other software cannot download because Rutube uses Adobe HDS technology to fragment and protect the content, as they previously did with the Rtmp/Rtmps protocol.
In any case, thanks for your post! -

@Sinio
Hello, when you have Raljeta running, you need to open the video from the Rutube site; if you open your video through the player from another site, it won't work!! since the software is designed to automatically recognize the Rutube site and thus obtain the information (contained in the page, (info that is accessible from the console of your web browser)), meaning:
the content of the "manifestURL.txt" that allows the script to know in which order to download and reassemble the pieces
as well as the permissions assigned to access the video contained in "Auth.txt" (the permissions used are those of the page's player).
So you don’t have to do anything else but:
-Launch Raljeta
-Go watch your video on Rutube (if it's from another site, use the shortcut at the bottom right of the player to go directly to your video from the Rutube site)
-Copy the page URL
From there, the icon in the taskbar displays a message in Russian saying that the capture worked, and it asks you where you want to store your file, a window opens where you specify the folder where you want to store it, rename if necessary (without touching the file extension, which is usually .mp4 or .flv) you click on save, a window opens and you let it run (the program downloads the video pieces and stitches them together to form your complete video (the longer your video is, the longer it takes), once finished the window closes on its own. Your video is then in the location where you wanted to save it!
Don't forget to give a little + to Helwor so that their response stays at the top as long as the tip is valid. Thank you -
Everything was fine with the famous Raljeta... But I am experiencing a problem with it for the download, meaning that when I chose the download location it shows a notification at the bottom of my screen and then 2 seconds later another one in red and does not start the video download.
Could you please help me as I am a bit lost? :)

Hi, I just tested a technique (that works), try it with the HDS Downloader-Viewer software (modified version by Darby Crash)
To download it:
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxGklWmiXUOQWW1xSWRUclRqb1E/edit
Sorry but it's part of a software pack you need to extract it separately into a folder, you can throw away the rest of the pack ^^
If the download link no longer works, check the bottom of this page:
https://www.portail-de-la-gratuite.com/chroniques/catch-up-tv-downloaders/#Tt
Maybe the pack has been updated in the meantime.
The tutorial is on this page:
https://www.portail-de-la-gratuite.com/chroniques/catch-up-tv-downloaders/#AdobeHDSdownloader
For this software, it starts from "[Tutorial] User guide for Adobe KSV HDS Downloader
>> HDS Downloader-Viewer (modified version by Darby Crash)" ...
It's a bit difficult to use, but once you get the hang of it, it goes smoothly!
Good luck, anyway I tested the software today and it works :)
Sorry the software is in English but well, when you want something, you manage to figure it out ^^
The output format is .flv after recomposition :) for conversion, I'll let you search if you need to change formats (Google is your friend)
Apparently a solution is also available here:
http://vite-une-solution-doc.blogspot.com/2012/08/comment-telecharger-une-video-en.html
But you have to make a donation to receive the software with the guide, I'm not sure if it uses the same software or not.
I hope to have helped those who, like me, struggled for a long time before finding the solution ^^.-
Hello! Thank you very much for this tip, Psyconaute! I finally managed to download videos from rutube! As you said, it's a bit difficult to learn, but taking half an hour to grasp everything is worth it, since this tip works! From the second time on, it's not as hard!
Here's a summary of what I did:
- I downloaded the Replay TV package with the first link provided: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxGklWmiXUOQWW1xSWRUclRqb1E/edit
- Then I followed the tutorial: https://www.portail-de-la-gratuite.com/chroniques/catch-up-tv-downloaders/#AdobeHDSdownloader
Downloading the necessary package, going through the steps indicated in the tutorial to download rutube videos took me about 1 hour (downloading the replayTV package + reading and applying the tutorial + finding where to perform the actions + applying them + download time for the video). Next time, it will take much less time because you will have understood the process (actions + video download time, around twenty minutes, and my connection isn't the fastest...)!
Thanks again, Psyconaute! Have a great day, everyone! -

Thank you very much! I had been looking for a long time before finding this solution, so it's only normal that I share the information! It’s a technique that is a bit lengthy, but at least it works as long as the page coding remains similar (i.e., using Adobe HDS and RTMP/RTMPS). You can also use Raljeta, which is actually an automation of all these actions. I translated the program into French some time ago (see the post above, the one by Helwor dated March 18, 2013, at 8:56 PM — also check the comments in case of any issues).
If there are any problems, I will help as best as I can according to my availability, but I am not responsible for the software (Raljeta) or its support. :)
Have a good day!
Best regards, Psyconaute

Hello,
I'm reaching out to a kind soul. I've read your various downloading methods, but I'm using a Mac. ("What a naughty boy," you might say)
Anyway, if any of you knows an effective solution, preferably as good as Raljeta.
Thanks in advance.
Configuration: Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) / Firefox 25.0 -
Thank you for the software, but there are several parts of the videos (like media links). Do you know how I should use it to get my video, please?

It's quite hard to explain, but give it a try a little^^
It allows you to download everything from the page, so your video that's on it.
Here, there's a tutorial https://korben.info/telecharger-nimporte-quel-contenu-sur-les-sites-de-diffusions-de-videos-et-mp3.html -
