Hello,
I would like to change the sound system and the player in my car, which are quite old...
All I want is to be able to play a CD and connect my phone with a 3.5mm jack, nothing else, no Bluetooth or other useless accessories in my case, and of course, have good sound!
I am a big metal fan, and I want to listen to my music at a decent volume, with good bass and sound clarity.
My ambition is not to do tuning; no subwoofers in the trunk or anything, just to change the speakers in the 4 doors and the player!
I would like to know what modifications are to be made to my car, what equipment to buy, how to install it, and the approximate cost...
Thank you in advance for your help :)
Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 23.0.1271.97

No drive-through orders, so no worries :)
For the speakers, I think it's 13 cm, need to double-check but I'm pretty sure.
Then for the department, it's 59! -
Okay, so for the used ones, there are no special car speakers, so order them from this website; it's reliable, and I've ordered from there before:
http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/page-privacy (€108)
or
http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/page-privacy (this one is from the new range that just came out, €156)
Then you can either get the €108 speakers new and the new head unit or the €156 speakers new and get a used head unit. In both cases, you will be within your budget. -

Hello, for the car radio, count on €100 new; you have the choice between JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, Clarion, and Alpine, which are all very good brands.
Are you planning to add an amplifier? (count €150 new + power supply pack €20)
Why do you want speakers in the back? Because putting speakers in the back won't improve the sound; it only helps if you have passengers in the back.
Do you accept used items?
For the speakers (high-efficiency speakers specifically designed to work with car radios), you should budget €120 new.
If you get an amplifier, expect to spend at least €140 to get new speakers that will be better than the originals.
If you are handy:
There are several modifications, but it all depends on your car. If your speaker slots are 13cm, it would be good to upgrade to 16cm because you will gain in bass.
Another modification is creating wooden spacers for the speakers to improve sound quality.
The last modification is door insulation to prevent the door from vibrating too much; count €100 for the whole thing.
That's pretty much it. -
I was just thinking of changing the sound system and the speakers, not putting in an amplifier unless it's absolutely necessary. It's not about turning the volume up to the point of making the doors vibrate; it's really for personal listening, at a high volume but not loud enough to hurt my ears—just to enjoy the music and pass the time on the highway, among other things.
I'm considering replacing the rear speakers because if I leave the old ones in, they'll sound terrible if I crank up the volume on my new speakers... Otherwise, I can just disconnect them :)
I'm not planning to change the location or the size of my speakers; that would be too expensive for me. I have a maximum budget of €200, and I am of course considering second-hand options. I also wonder if I can make the changes myself or if I need to go through someone who knows how to do it...
To summarize, I'm looking at a budget of around €100 for a new car radio plus about €120 for new speakers. Is that enough for decent sound? And are there any compatibility issues depending on the speakers, the car, or the power supply of the old car radio, etc.?
Thank you very much for the clear and precise answer in any case :) -
For the amplifier, no, it's not necessary; we'll see if you want one later.
You can disconnect the rear speakers, that's fine.
You can make the changes yourself; having a specialist do it would cost too much. What size are the speaker slots?
Which department are you in so I can look for opportunities?
For the car radio, €100 is good, or even less; a good website I've ordered from that has good prices is: http://www.chila-audio.com/caraudio-autoradio-alpine-kit-eclate-amplificateur-subwoofer/autoradio-alpine-autoradio-usb-autoradio-sd-kenwood-electronics-pioneer-clarion/autoradio-lecteur-cd.html
For the speakers, yes, count on €120 for new ones; that will be better than the originals, so you'll have decent sound, and there won't be any compatibility issues, whether it's the car radio or the speakers.
Basically, we come to €220 for new ones or even less for used ones.
PS: Are there steering wheel controls? If you want to keep them, count on €60. -
Hi
I'm suggesting this car radio
https://www.adnauto.fr/kd-r531-autoradio-cd-mp3-wma-4x50w-2012-promo-jvc-145111.html
and this pair of speakers for the front
https://www.adnauto.fr/sxe-1350s-2-haut-parleurs-specifiques-2-voies-separees-13cm-250w-max-serie-custom-fit-85.html
and this pair of speakers for the back that you can put on the rear shelf

what do you think Kevin-

Okay for the speakers and what do you think about this one?

Thank you both for your suggestions.
What is the reason for the price difference between the two car radios? They seem very similar to me, however one costs 40€ more than the other. -
Hello,
is your car radio integrated into the console or can it be removed like a regular car radio?
See you! -
Alright,
I misspoke, there are cars where you can't remove the stereo because it's fully integrated into the console and therefore completely attached to the console.
From what I understand, that's not the case with yours, but that's alright, I have other fish to fry.
Bye. -
NO
I already had a case with a guy who wanted to change his position but he was glued to the console, look closely at the vehicles released in recent years, now I'm just asking for information to be able to start on the right foot and avoid telling you nonsense and buying this or that brand only for you to tell me later that I messed up.-

hi
as Kevin14789 says, all car radios, even those that are built-in, can be removed. For those integrated into the console, they can also be taken out, but you have to change the part where the radio is located and replace it with a console identical to the original model, but with the opening for a 1 din or 2 din radio, depending on your choice.
I have a friend who has a Laguna 3 and he has a normal radio.

GOOD EVENING,
I have the radio from a "Laguna 3" (2.0 liter dCi 150 hp) that doesn't turn on anymore :/
I checked the fuse..... but it was fine.
I tried to remove the radio but I couldn't figure out how....!! Do you have any advice?!
Thanks in advance ^^
