Hello,
I have a minor but somewhat annoying problem. I can't open brackets, meaning I can't make this symbol: " [ ", in a file/folder name using alt Gr + the corresponding key. I have to use the combination alt + 91 every time. Otherwise, when I'm writing in a word processor or elsewhere everything works perfectly.
Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 17.0

Does it happen when saving a file, or when renaming a file from the explorer?
Does the character not display at all, or does it display but refuse when trying to confirm? -
When I want to rename a file in the explorer and put an opening bracket "[", nothing happens, not even an error message.
I forgot to mention that the closing bracket ("]") displays without any problems.

I admit it's curious.
Of course, I imagine you have restarted the computer since...
We should try to see if the problem occurs elsewhere than in Windows Explorer, but in a window of another software that allows directory browsing, selecting a file, and renaming it, to see if the problem occurs there as well.
We could always try with another keyboard, but I don't really believe it will help :)
There might be a keyboard shortcut from a program assigned to the combination Ctrl+Alt+( ? -
I found the solution! It was really obvious (as often). Actually, I'm using a software called Clover (which is really nice by the way), it's the one that manages the browsing in the folders. I uninstalled it, so I went back to the normal Windows Explorer. And there you go! I can again type the " [ " in the usual way!
Thanks anyway for your time mcfly10
