Hello,
My son has a Nintendo DSi XL.
It no longer turns on.
In fact, when charging, the orange light stays on, but as soon as you press the power button, the blue light comes on, the touchscreen flashes white briefly (the top screen does too, but much less), then everything turns off except for the orange light, which stays on.
The same issue occurs when the console is on battery, except the orange light is off.
Any help would be appreciated.

Is it charging because the orange thing means it needs to charge the battery for the console?

I don’t understand the question...
Actually, there are no lights on if we don't touch the console and if we don't plug it into the mains.
On its battery, by pressing the power button, the blue light (the one on the right) just briefly lights up and the touchscreen lights up white for 1 second, then everything turns off.
The orange light (the one in the middle) only lights up when the console is plugged into the mains.
The light on the left remains off all the time.
