      Hello,

What type of motherboard, what type of SATA controller?
      What hard drives?
      Under what OS?

      Motherboard: Tyan s2895
      OS: Server 2003
I already have two Hitachi 80Go S-ATA HDDs in RAID 1 for the system, I would like to add two for data (Maxtor 250Go S-ATA)
      S-ATA controller 32 bits

        Hello,

This is a very specific setup you have here.
Without the controller card references, I'm not sure what to say...
Actually, I found this page that talks about your motherboard:
        https://forum.hardware.fr/hfr/Hardware/carte-mere/configs-tyan-k8we-sujet_681289_1.htm
        (if that's the right one)
There are plenty of links to recent drivers... I would start there if I were you.
Is your RAID 1 on your machine in 1 or 2 volumes?
With Server 2003, I thought Bill Gates provided software RAID 1...

        Good luck.

        Hervé

It's all good, problem solved: I hadn't seen the 2 hidden SATA ports lol
        Thanks anyway.
