The problem with Win10 when the window says that atibtmon.exe is not functional.. after disconnecting and switching to battery
Follow these instructions
1- Go to the battery icon, right-click and select power options
2- Point to Normal usage (recommended), at the end of this line click Change plan settings
3- Click on Change advanced power settings
4- In the small window, go to the bottom and click on ATI Graphics Power Settings and then on ATI Powerplay Settings and on battery set Optimal performance There you go, you're done

I did that but I'm still getting the error window. Before it was only at startup but after applying your solution, I have the error all the time.
