Hello,

I have the Microsoft Money 2007 Home & Business software, but it is in English.

I know that there are French patches available, but I can't find any.
Could you find one for me or simply tell me some websites where it is possible to find one?

Thank you.

Hello,

Experience has taught me not to rush into a new product without thinking.

Money 2003, which I deeply regret, had the feature of doing conversions and had values in euros and currency of your choice (existing or to be created).

Unfortunately, very unfortunately, I who live in a country where we actually need these double conversions, when I switched to Money 2005, this function was obsolete.

Note that once your files are converted to the new version, it then becomes impossible to read them with a previous version.

Advice: back up your Money files before any update and make a double copy. If the new version doesn't suit you, then uninstall it and go back to the version that satisfied you.

Courage and patience

Jo

Uh, actually Money 2007 is really made to be used in English. All the new features compared to other versions are purely Anglo-Saxon... so I advise you to stick with your old version (or maybe move to the US!!!)

Hello,

Is Money 2000 compatible with Vista?

Thank you.

No, the 2006 works under Vista but you need to open it by right-clicking on it and selecting 'Run as administrator'.

It's like Quicken, which is a great accounting software. Since 2000, no news from the company INTUIT (Canada).
Still relevant in this country, the versions keep evolving: except in France. Are we no longer friends with the Canadians?
What company could stand in the way of my dear Quicken, which is also distributed in Switzerland and Germany?
I thought Europe, I thought the World... and from disillusionment to disillusionment, I can no longer sit down. Where have my pink stuffed animals gone, my white clouds, where I didn't even know death existed to say if my world was good.

Intuit has moved its headquarters to California.
Quicken 2007 and 2008 were released successively in English while the Canadian French version is still at version 2006.

I noticed that when sending the message on the Net, all the formatting of the instructions is lost, so I numbered the steps to make it clearer.

For those who want to use Money 2005 on Vista, you can do so by configuring the software properly, that is to say: Once Money 2005 is installed, look for its icon at:

1 Start.
2 All Programs.
3 Microsoft Money, right-click on the icon.
4 Click on Properties.
5 Compatibility tab,
6 Check the box next to: Run this program in compatibility mode for:
7 Check the box next to: Run this program as an administrator:
8 Go to the Security tab,
9 In the box, Groups or user names: you should have 3 or 4 lines of names if
you are the only user, or more if there are multiple users.
10 Click on each name,
11 Check in the lower box, Permissions for Administrators, that all the
boxes are checked for each authorized user, if not go to 12, if so go to 13.
12 Click the Modify button, and check all the boxes for each name to authorize,
Except Special permissions
13 Click Apply.
14 Click OK.
When opening Money, if you see a message asking for permission, perform 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 15, then OK.
15 Go to the Compatibility tab and uncheck, Run this program as
Administrator: the message will no longer appear.

I did this, and my Money works perfectly.

Good job.

With Vista, am I obliged to use Money 2007?
I can't manage to create a schedule across different accounts?
I was used to the other versions of Money, how do I do it with this one, please?

Hello,

so yes, for Vista it's a must to have Money 2007.

I'm in a mess; I got it from a friend in a shady way, but it was in English.

So I'm looking at getting it in French from my friend. Plus, in the 2007 version, you have to provide a MSN address, lol, it's ridiculous!!!!

I've been using Money since 1997; I have all my accounts on it. I bought it, but I'm fed up now. After the issues with the updates for Money and so on... now they've abandoned the French versions.

It annoys me: here are some sites you can check out: https://www.maxicompte.com//maxi_compte.htm and https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grisbi

Let me know how it goes.

re,

my money file from 2006 is incompatible with money 2007 English version.

I'm switching today to MaxiCompte 1.62 because Grisbi isn't nice, well yeah, I have to use software every day for 10 years, might as well be nice.

Hello everyone...
Does anyone have a solution for me! Here is my problem.
I am using Money 2005 on my old PC running XP. Having just acquired a new PC running Vista......I CAN'T open my backup file (nor even the source Money file) on the same version of Money....but installed on my new PC.....what should I do..?
Is it because the version of Money on my old PC has been updated.....and on the new one it is "original"?
Is it because my version of Money is not compatible with Vista..?
Why does it say "2007" when I open Money while in the software information....it shows 2005...

If anyone can help me...thank you thank you....because re-entering several years of accounts...for having changed PCs....thank you Microsoft for the lost hours!

Hello,

I have the 2005 version of MONEY on CD and I have been trying since the end of March to transfer the application from my computer equipped with the XP system to the one I bought at the end of 2007, which is equipped with the Vista home premium operating system... without success, of course.

I did a search on Google which led me to this discussion: A BIG THANK YOU to Catedra and Capono: I followed the instructions given step by step in these two messages and now it works wonderfully!!!

I then only had to:
1 Copy the file from the first computer to the second in the Documents directory (using my USB key)
2 Then, by pointing to the file with the mouse and right-clicking / send to / Desktop (create a shortcut)
3 go back to step 15 of Catedra on the properties of Money in the list of programs, I quote "15 Go to the Compatibility tab and uncheck Run this program as an administrator: the message will no longer appear."
4 my Money file (xxx.mny) launches directly from the Vista desktop!!!

Once again, congratulations and a big thank you to both of you!

From Intuit, there is now the 2008 version in Canadian French.

https://www.intuit.com/fr-ca/products/?skuId=Q08I08W15600&location=fr-2

As for Money, the latest Canadian French version dates back to 99... In France, I believe it’s 2005?

I’m still using my Money 99 version but now I have no choice. I will probably switch to Quicken.

Hello,

just to reassure you, Money 2005 works perfectly on VISTA, and both backup and source files open without any issues.
I have done the same procedure about 3 times on different PCs this year.

However, if you have an installation CD of Money 2005, there is a good chance that it does not include the latest update, which is what blocks the compatibility of the files.

So after installing Money 2005, and before trying to open your personal files, you need to continue the setup wizard from the beginning as if you wanted to create a new Money file.
When it starts asking for information about the accounts, you can cancel, and you'll find yourself in Money.
If everything goes well, the window asking for permission to load the update should have popped up at some point by now.
You need to accept it, of course, and restart Money after the update.

From there, your files will open without any problem.

I hope you manage to sort it out..

Hello

I am on the forum and I am looking for information about Money 2001 with XP.
I have a problem opening my file. As soon as I enter my password (I am absolutely sure of it), the software closes.
I have tried many things; backup file, uninstalling and reinstalling, updates, I'm losing my mind...
If I work on another account, the software works.
Do you have a solution? Thank you in advance.

Hello Flem54,

I'm also using the Canadian French version of Money 99.

I just installed it on Vista and it's working...

After installation, you need to change the compatibility in the properties of the executable to select Windows 95 (well, yes...)

Then, you shouldn't open the file directly but rather open the application by right-clicking as an administrator, and open the file from the application.

I updated the online investments: It works

I opened accounts, the calendar, reports, and it works. I haven't made any changes or bank transactions yet.

To be continued,

Merry Christmas,

Hello;
Can you explain something to me please...? Do we HAVE to connect to the internet (via the net passport) to open and use MS Money?
Can't we use it without the internet?

Thank you

Money 2005 with Vista
Under Vista, I installed Money 2003 (version 11) which works very well.
The CD was not read on my Vista laptop, so on an old XP computer, I copied the CD to a USB stick, then installed Money 2003 with this USB stick on the Vista computer, launched Money on Vista, and restored the account files using the same method. To my great surprise = no problem at all!!

However, I have a lot of software that ran very well on XP that does not work at all on Vista.
