How to Reset the Samsung GT-I5500 Phone?

I own a Samsung GT-I5500, and my problem is that I've forgotten my unlock pattern, so I'm surfing the Internet to find out "how to reset my phone," but I'm trying the methods (Hard Reset?) but I don't understand and I'm unable to do it.

    So I have to press Volume + Home + Power and then I choose the option to erase the data.
    Okay, but what is Presse with an e because I know press = appuyer but not presse with an e.

    Before you reply to my topic, I tried to understand the Hard Reset
    and I held down for 3 to 4 seconds the volume down button + the home button + Power and I got an image with an android on a yellow panel working and at the bottom of the panel it says Downloading...

    Try to erase the recovery mode data
    Press + Home button + Power (Home + Power)
    , then choose the wipe data option

    Hi, I have the same problem as you. When I try to do a hard reset, I get the little Android with the shovel, and then it just stays like that. So I've tried other hard resets, but nothing works... =(
    Can someone please respond?????....
