Bonjour, excusez-moi de vous déranger. Mes mois Avast, je les ai supprimés du système C et pourtant il fonctionne encore.

Pour le désinstaller, c'est impossible, le seul moyen est de télécharger un autre antivirus. Si vous en voulez un bon, allez sur 01.net

Puis choisissez BITDEFENDER édition 2008

Pour ne plus avoir Avast, il faut attendre la date d'expiration d'Avast. Normalement, Avast doit expirer au bout de 60 jours, mais en installant BITDEFENDER ou un autre antivirus, enlevez les pare-feu d'Avast.

Et ne le téléchargez pas.

I also struggled quite a bit to remove Avast on my XP.
I also tried using aswclear.exe, disabling the resident protection and everything that is recommended for uninstallation, but it not only didn't work, it also crashed.
So, I tried to remove it with Revo Uninstaller, an uninstallation software, free, that allows for deep uninstallation (there are several modes, I used the "moderate" mode set by default, but in case of difficulty, there is also the "advanced" mode which uninstalls even more deeply) and this time it worked.
I think CCleaner can also be quite suitable with its uninstallation tool. Otherwise, downloading Revo Uninstaller works for everything by the way and cleans the pc better than the Windows tool.

Sorry to bump this forum but I have a big issue!
I want to uninstall Avast because it seems I caught a virus that it doesn't recognize! :S
I have downloaded the software from the publisher, but I can't start the process because a message from Avast pops up on the screen asking me to confirm!
The problem is that when this message appears, neither my mouse nor my touchpad (laptop) are usable!!! Same goes for the keyboard!
Is there an option to uncheck somewhere?
