Hello, right now I have this screen https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-E2050T-SN.AUS

I will soon have my new graphics card that can handle higher resolutions without any problems. I was just wondering what the difference is. I was told that with the screen I have, I can't be full HD.

But will I actually see a real improvement in image quality or just a larger image? Because in the end, the pixels are the same size, right?

Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 9.0

Hi

Because in the end, don't the pixels have the same size? <= not really no...

The size of the pixels depends on the size of the screen and its resolution...

If you take a 1600x900 20" and a 1920x1080 20", the pixels of the second will be smaller than those of the first.

If the size of the 1920x1080 increases compared to the 1600x900, then yes, you will have a larger image since the monitor will also be larger and in addition, it will be "finer", there are more pixels to display the image, so it will be clearer provided that the source is also in high definition.

An image in 1280x720 will not look better on a 1920x1080 than on a 1600x900, a 1080p video will yes ^^

Now, depending on what you display, games, HD video, or just Windows and applications, the difference is not necessarily obvious, except for HD video and still...

P.s: if it’s for gaming, with the same hardware you will get more fps with your 1600x900 than with a 1920x1080... And in terms of image quality, you really have to look closely to see a difference between 1600x900 and 1920x1080 (except for the size if you get a 24" monitor :P)
