How to retrieve source data from a pivot table

Question

Hello,  I accidentally lost the source data used in a pivot table. However, I realize that this data is still stored internally by Excel (very large file, and a dump shows the deleted data).  Is it possible to use the pivot table to "restore" the lost source data?   Configuration: Windows XP / Chrome 22.0.1229.94

Hello, Thank you for the reply. The problem is that I "deleted" the source cells used, saved the file, and therefore lost the source data. But EXCEL seems to "remember" the source data of a pivot table as long as you don't refresh that table (observed by opening the .xls file with ultraedit). I am trying to recover these deleted source data. (Moreover, I only have EXCEL 2003).
