What software is equivalent to Picture It

Hello,

I would like to know which software will allow me to create a page with my photos: that is, to place several on a page, modify their size, crop them into different shapes, add texts here and there, insert drawings. "Picture It Express" was perfect, but it is incompatible with the "Windows 7" I have now.
Thank you very much to anyone who can provide information.

    Good evening
I don't know Picture It, but what you're asking for is achievable with Photo Filtre and Gimp for example

Thank you for your response; I have Gimp, but for the moment I can't really do much with it, but I will apply myself since you tell me there are these possibilities. Picture It was obviously very simple, how I miss it!

      Hello,

If Gimp's functions seem complicated to you, you can start (as transat said) with Photofiltre:

      Version 6 (without layers):
      http://www.commentcamarche.net/download/telecharger-175-photofiltre
      (take the free version)

      Version 7 (with layers):
      http://www.commentcamarche.net/download/telecharger-34090233-photofiltre-7

/!\ Attention : As specified: The installation version includes the Ask Toolbar. Uncheck the option during installation if you do not want to install it.
      (Applicable to both versions)

And when you feel ready to move on to Gimp:

Thank you very much for this information. I looked at the indicated site for Gimp, and I see that I will need to arm myself with patience, perseverance, and attention, but the possibilities seem extraordinary. I think I will start tackling it in about two weeks, because I see that you need to set aside a long free time for it, which I do not have right now.
      Thanks again

      Re,

      You're welcome...
      ;)

I see that you need to plan for a long time ahead
Let's say that in addition to the specific functions of the software, there are general concepts to understand: layers, masks, transparency, channels, etc.
      ;)

Afterwards, if you don't mind investing a bit of money, there are several books on Gimp:
      https://www.eyrolles.com/Audiovisuel/Theme/799/the-gimp/

There have also been several special editions of GNU/Linux magazines dedicated to Gimp in the past... but they are no longer available from the publisher.
Let's see if, possibly, they can be found second-hand...
N.B. The fact that they are Linux magazines doesn't change anything if you're on Windows: the interface is the same...
      ;)

It's also worth noting that samj makes available 3 eBooks:
      http://samjcreations.blogspot.fr/2011/12/3-livres-electroniques-au-format-epub.html

And, in addition to the big tutorial I linked before, other tutorials:

Have a nice Sunday & see you later.
      ;)

It is possible on Windows 7 to run your program as if it were on XP for compatibility. Right-click on your program, properties, compatibility.
