Skype notification issue

Solved

Hello, I'm writing because I have a problem with Skype. This issue only affects one of my contacts, but it's one of the ones I talk to the most. So, when the contact sends me a message, I no longer get any sound or notification indicating that I've received the instant message; I have to return to the software to see my messages, and often it's already too late, I've missed the person. Is there a command that I might have accidentally disabled?
Thank you in advance

Configuration: Windows XP / Safari 537.1

you need to do: /alertsoff<space>
and then: /alertson<space>

And it should work! ;)

What command? In the messages? Because I tried and it didn't work. I'm on a tablet and when I look I see a bell and it's crossed out.

Hello

I found the solution! The problem was exactly the same for me; it was the contact I talked to the most, etc.

You just need to type the command "/alertson" (without the "" of course) and it will work without any issues! :D

Sorry, I forgot to mention, you need to write this command in the person's chat ;)

Here is the solution, you need to type /alertsoff with a space

Example: /alertsoff <Space> and click on enter.

Finally :p

Hello everyone, I have a much simpler way to solve your problem. You go to the conversation of the person concerned. For example, I have chatted with M.Spoke, for whom I can't get sound notifications (and others). Then, go to the "conversation" tab on the right of "contacts"; then select "Notification settings...".
Finally, check "Alert me" and confirm.

There you go ;)

Hi! I have exactly the same problem as you, and the only solution I've found is to keep my iPod next to me, the Skype app open, and take a look at "messages" every 30 seconds... And yet I've thoroughly checked the settings!

Yes, that's what I do with my phone, I don't see where this problem could come from..
