For haunting, the movie is a dud; it’s better to watch The Haunting, a gem of the 7th art.
Also worth seeing are Poltergeist, The Others, maybe Suspiria and Phenomena by Dario Argento.

In any case, watch these films before showing them to your parents. They are all masterpieces, but since Westerners have no taboos about smooches, you can never be sure there isn't a quick one somewhere on screen; and that’s not the kind of thing I usually notice in a movie.

No, actually, my family is Indian. I find that they are very closed off in their culture and do not integrate at all with the West. However, they are very interested in horror movies. So if I show them horror films without any sex scenes, they might try to discover more about the West. But if I show them a film with a scene where people kiss, they might shut themselves off forever and even prohibit me from opening up to Western culture as well.

This is the American version; I haven't seen the Japanese version.

It also has Dreamcatcher, or I'm almost certain there is no sex in it. But don't you have a way to watch them beforehand?
Otherwise, there are fantasy/horror series like "The Outer Limits" or "Twilight Zone"; they are suitable for all audiences and date back to the 80s when there wasn't systematically any sex in movies.

There's also "Hammer House of Horror" and Amazing Stories.

And do kisses between married couples count or not?
