How to control DJM 700 with Virtual DJ?

Hello,

I want to control my DJM 700 mixer with Virtual DJ.

I bought a midi-usb cable:

When I plug it in, nothing happens

What should I do?

If I buy a Native Instruments Audio A6, would that work?

    Hi

    Have you tried anything other than plugging it in and noticed that nothing happens? What version of Virtual DJ do you have? I think you need the pro version!?
    Have you checked if there’s a driver for the MIDI box?
    Have you tried to manually map the keys in VDJ? config > mappers > choose general midi... (make sure to enable the MIDI function on the DJM)
    I think the issue will be the same with Traktor; you'll probably have to configure the functions manually

    Unfortunately, I can't download the mappers from virtualdjpro.com because I'm not licensed.
    Yes, I activate the MIDI function on the DJM.
    I have version 7.0.4 of Virtual DJ PRO.
    I don't know how to configure the functions manually :S

      That's not good!! ^^ Check the DJM manual to map the MIDI functions; if you don't have the manual, you can find it in French on the Pioneer website.

      it's probably a stupid question, but did you simply install the drivers for your table?
      do you have the serial number that goes with it?
      or have you already used it with another software? (Traktor, Decadence, or something else...)
