Hello,
I use Paint at the office (I am not allowed to download anything) when I need to edit or work on an image.
I'm unable to find the "select" function for an element. For example, when I create text on my image, like for a caption, once I've created it, I can't go back to modify or move it. Grrrrrrrrr, it frustrates me!!
What should I do?
It's the same for any other object; for instance, when I create a circle around an area, I want to modify it later (change the color, enlarge it, or move it), but I can no longer grab it!
Thank you for your help.
Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 13.0.1

Hello,
Well no, not ridiculous, it's not your fault if you can't do all that with Paint. If you create text with Paint and it's validated, the only way to modify it is to delete it with the little blue arrow and start over. If it's not validated, you can move your text by changing the position of the text box, the font, its size, and its color, but it won't go far. For the rest, well you can't do much except going to selections and choosing the free selection.
In short, it's a troubleshooting tool and you can hardly do anything with it.
I don't know what you can actually do or not (I don't know the exact rules of your job) but you could install a portable version of PhotoFiltre 7 on a USB stick, that way you wouldn't download anything, you wouldn't install anything, but you'd have to prepare the stick by downloading the software from home. No other solution in sight...
Portable PhotoFiltre (without layers) https://www.01net.com/telecharger/windows/Multimedia/photo_numerique/fiches/110895.html or simpler and lighter but with layers, Fotografix which is also without installation and can stay on a USB stick https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/photo-graphisme/10257-fotografix/
It remains to be seen if you are allowed to do that.....
Luke.
The price of software is inversely proportional to its user-friendliness....
