µtorrent: 100% Disk Overload

Solved

Hello,

As a µtorrent user, I'm experiencing a problem.

Indeed, when I start this software, the download works perfectly for a few seconds and then stops completely. At the bottom, a message appears saying "Disk overloaded 100%".
Even though I have 61GB free on the C: drive and 1.15TB free on the drive where my downloads are saved.

What can I do to counter this??

Thank you.

Go to advanced preferences option disk cache manually set the cache size to 1800 apply and it works :)

it's really nonsense.....if the buffer disk at the back.....it's going to end up reaching 1800 anyway.....

If I download a file of 190 GB on my USB disk and set the uTorrent cache to 4000......well it will go up to 4000 and uTorrent will stop working

I have read the charter and I found this in the theme "compliance with legislation":

The use of peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing software is not prohibited by the current law in France. However, using these programs to download or share works or software protected by copyright is.

Thus, discussions regarding the use of such software are tolerated on the forum. On the other hand, any discussion explicitly referring to the copying or sharing of protected works will be removed from the forum. Thank you, if applicable, not to contest the removal and to use your energy wisely to post a message that complies with this charter.

Unless I missed something, I can therefore talk about using this software, right?
Moreover, µtorrent is downloadable from this website.

Defining the cache size manually is indeed the solution, but 999 MB of cache is more than sufficient (it works like this for me after encountering the same problem), and probably even less. So if you have limited space on your system disk, feel free to test with less cache.
