TI82 Brightness Issue

Hello,

My TI82 calculator is stuck. The brightness is very, very dark and I can barely read it.
I know the "2nd" + Up/Down Arrow manipulation. However, there’s no reaction this time.

Is there a way to reset the calculator?

    you can "reset" your calculator but you will lose all the programs on it
