Hello ha,
Sage software, payroll among others, materializes the presence of a user in the database to effectively manage the locks placed on records being modified.
Upon entering the application, the user is identified and a small parameter file is created without their knowledge. When this user exits the application, this file is deleted by the program, still transparently. BUT, if there is a "hussar" exit, for example, a crash, the small file is not destroyed. The user is still identified as being in the application. QED!
To resolve this:
- using Explorer, navigate to the directory c:\Program Files\PMSSAARI\ and search for all PMS.RES files (Line 100)
or
- using Explorer, navigate to the directory c:\Program Files\PSTSAARI\ and search for all PST.RES files (Line 30)
- select these files and delete them (Del or Suppr key)
- then go to the subdirectory corresponding to the payroll file (e.g., essai.prh) and execute the same search and deletion.
Finally, enter the application again and log in normally.
See you later
Phil

I have a client who uses Sage Payroll 100. It is installed on only one workstation. At first, it worked well. But months later, at some point, when I launch it in the login window, I click the tab key as usual and enter the supervisor password which is SAARI (the default password), and then it displays this code is already in use by another user. Even though this is the only workstation powered on and the software is installed only on this one. I don't know how to solve this problem.
Thank you for your help.
Thank you for your help.
You need to press the TAB key for the code "Supervisor" to launch.
The standard password should be SAGE or SAARI.

Good evening Zaydoun,
I have the same problem as you, can you keep me posted if you find the solution.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
I work for myself and I am starting with Sage 100 payroll software (we only have one employee)
but I am encountering quite a few difficulties in configuring and setting up the software.
I do not want to make any mistakes and I will soon have to produce my employee's first payslip.
Could you help me?
Thank you in advance
Caroline

Hello,
The configuration of Sage payroll requires a certain amount of self-training (which is apparently your case) or training by professional trainers: from 3 to 5 days depending on the users' needs.
Needless to say, a forum probably can't provide you with the procedure in a single response. Moreover, from one company to another, payroll configuration varies.
If you want answers on a forum, it would be better to ask precise questions one by one so you can move forward effectively.
Good luck!

Hello Atlantis,
I'm happy for you that you're creating your own universe. Long life to you.
However, I find it pretty "lame" to come poach on forums that have existed for a very long time. To me, it smells like "a shady move." But, well, there's something for everyone. I would have felt much better about you sharing your skills you've acquired "for quite some time" with all of us. The CCM forum community also has many qualified, effective, humble, and active contributors. And I thank them for it.
Once again, "Long life to you"
Phil

Hello chams01,
When you bought your application, Sage must have recorded your serial number. Just contact them at 01.41.66.21.21 and they will resend you the installation keys.
Using someone else's keys would be piracy, which is not acceptable on the CommentcaMarche site.
After that, a little help to assist you with the reinstallation won't be a problem.
Best regards,
Phil

I am Liliane. I just started using Sage payroll 500 on a Windows 10 laptop and the support is not helping me. On Windows 7, the maintenance and deletion of the PM.RES files worked, but on Windows 10, since maintenance does not work, I wanted to try deleting the PM.RES files; however, they are not found in the folder C:\Program Files\PMSYBEL. Could someone please help her?
Thank you in advance.
