Différence entre téléchargement et téléversement ?

Hello everyone,
I am familiar with the forum rules and I have no intention of asking a question about downloading data,
I just want to understand the difference between download and upload,
also from what I have gathered, simply browsing the internet would involve both operations,
so is there a risk, meaning can I exceed my quota just by uploading,

    Good evening,

    Download means that the direction is from the server to your PC.
    Upload is the opposite, the direction is from your PC to the server.

      Ok, thanks,
      but (I know it may sound stupid but as a "little" beginner ...) I had read somewhere that people can take control of your PC to make you upload (so that they benefit, I don't know how), is that true?

      Yes, this is usually referred to as Zombie PCs.
