How long does a Facebook ban last?

Hello,
some time ago a friend found the password to my Facebook account and went to my page and posted some not very nice things, so Facebook blocked me. I can still go to my page and post statuses, but I can no longer comment or post things on others' pages. How long will this block last and what can I do???!!!!

    well, when someone blocks you, it's for life lol, they just need to unblock you...
