IMessage not showing Read

Hello,
I have an iPhone 4 with iOS 5.
I'm having a little problem with iMessages; the Read receipt doesn't show when the recipient has read the iMessage, and only the Delivered notice appears. However, everything works fine for some messages...

Am I the only one experiencing this?

What should I do?

    It's nothing to do with the notifications. It's just that the acknowledgment of receipt isn't displaying.

    But thanks anyway.

      It may be that the person checked in the settings that she doesn't want it to show as read when she reads the message.
