Anno 1701: serial number

Hello,
I recently bought Anno 1701 and during the installation, it obviously asks me for the serial number. However, there is no booklet in the box where the number is usually written. Is there a way to start the game anyway, or do I have to bring the game back to my retailer?

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 11.0

    but first make sure it's not written on the CD, for example, read the "readme" or "lisezmoi" on the CD, maybe it's explained where it is.
