[PHOTOSHOP] write in half circle Solved/Closed

Question

Hello

In Photoshop CS, how can I write a somewhat long email all around the base of a CD? Like in a semicircle?

I've chosen the T tool with the curved arrow below, but it doesn't look good: the text puffs up in the middle and tapers off at the ends; I want it to be in regular text but evenly distributed.

Well then ...
I work on PS CS3 (maybe it's available in earlier versions ...)
And for those who don't know, you can write along a vector curve, so a circle for example!

1- Draw a circle using the ellipse tool (vector) in path mode
2- With the text tool, place the cursor over the circle's path (a slash appears in the middle of the cursor): where you want to start your text, then click!
3- The path is then linked to the text layer ;)

This avoids having to do (not very convenient) curved text in Illustrator, vectorize the result, copy, and paste into a shape layer in PS.

When we talk about curves, about writing in circles, we think vectorial.

This kind of manipulation is easy with Inkscape.

thank you king but I think I've found the trick in layers < texte < deform

so I set it to -60, which creates a dip (instead of a bump with 50) and I widened the letters by 400%... it creates a big smile on the cake

I don't know if it's very orthodox but it looks pretty good;

... there's still a corner a bit in the air though...
and a tiny bit of a circle that squishes a little in the middle...

Hello, in my opinion it would be simpler to do it with Illustrator. There is an option that allows you to write according to the shape you want, and then of course you can export it to Photoshop, meaning you don't have to finish the work in Illustrator.

Hello again! I just realized that you wanted to write in a semicircle. Here’s how to do it :)

2. With the scissors tool, click on the two horizontal points of the circle, that is, the left and right points

3. Now that the circle is cut in half, you only need to select the top part and click on delete to obtain a semicircle

I didn't quite understand the problem, but you can enlarge the text in the text box; you can also rotate it for a better result by holding down the Alt key.

Then you export the file in PSD format so you can finish the work in Photoshop.

In my opinion, you shouldn't vectorize the text, at least not now,
because if you vectorize the text, you won't be able to edit it afterwards.

hey!

the thing: the curvilinear tool: Grab the straight line (cursor) that sits against the circle and swing it towards the inside of the circle!
it changes the position of the font!

In Photoshop, another simple option that doesn’t allow for much adjustment but gives nice effects:
you create your circle or whatever, using the text tool you type your text, and without validating you right-click and you have access to a box that gives you the possibility to make some adjustments in an arc shape, above, below, etc...
