Hi,

It's a friend you've known since kindergarten, right? Someone you regularly go to the movies, to parties, or just hang out with? A friend who already lent you some money when you were in need? And you both use Facebook to keep in touch when you have to be apart for a while...

No, it's a vague person with whom you've exchanged three friendly words on Facebook. That's what I thought...

It's a scam. He’s concocting a scheme to swindle gullible people by exploiting other gullible ones who will be responsible since they posted the ads!

Hello..
You probably posted a fraudulent ad for a scammer.. This scammer has impersonated a friend of yours.. WARNING! If there are complaints following this ad, they will come to you (thanks to your IP).
Advice: remove the ad immediately and file a complaint with the Police (to protect yourself).
Likely a scammer from West Africa bypassing any potential IP filtering of advertisers located in 'sensitive' countries....

For the past few days, the MSN scam of adding an ad on LeBonCoin has made its way to Facebook.

Just like with MSN, one of your contacts on Facebook whose account has been hacked is asking you to post an ad on the classifieds site leboncoin.

The trick is childishly simple, yet it works, because most internet users use only a single login and password for all their accounts, MSN, Facebook... namely a Hotmail account.

The contact who "gently" asked to post the ad therefore receives a validation request from the ad site leboncoin, and of course with the password in plain text. Then all they have to do is check if the password and the email address of the person who got trapped work for the Facebook, MSN... account. And so on, they will try to trap other contacts.

but he's not the scammer, I called him and he told me that his Facebook account had been hacked.

It's been 48 hours since I posted the ad this morning at 11 a.m. and since I sent a message to Le Bon Coin, it must have been removed since they confirmed it to me and that I shouldn't post ads for other people anymore.
I always check, but it seems good; it still hasn't appeared.

I just ran into the exact same problem,

one of my good friends asked me to post two ads on Le Bon Coin, and being kind-hearted, I posted everything, until I realized that it wasn't my friend, unfortunately I saw it too late.

Is this a big deal for me? Could he have accessed my computer by doing this?

He made me create two car ads, he provided everything, the password, the email address, etc.

I sent a message to Le Bon Coin to inform them of the situation, hoping they will delete these two ads, but I especially wanted to know if this person could have accessed my personal data, etc.

Hello, I had the same problem last week. I posted two ads thinking I was conversing with my daughter's classmate. However, her Facebook account had been hacked.

I didn't give anything. It's the hacker who left me all the information: phone number, email address, ad text, etc. I truly believe that the poor victims who will have bought the product from the scammer will pay, to never receive anything, and that's where we come into play. The victims will complain, and it will be the one who posted the ad, so us, who will bear the consequences... I went to the gendarmerie to file my report, and I'm covered. I invite you to do the same.

I also wrote to Le Bon Coin, which warned me about ads posted for someone else.

Anyway, I didn't see anything at first, I was cautious but too late; when I saw that the girl (well, the one I thought was!) gave me everything, I clicked on the link. But I still asked myself the following question: "but why do I have to click on the confirmation link?" but I did it anyway.
