Samsung LCD TV that flashes and turns off

Hello,
I have a problem with my Samsung LCD TV. For some time now, it sporadically flashes when starting up and the image disappears. I turn it off and on again, and the image disappears again, but after a few attempts, the TV displays the image fine.
Tonight, I encountered the same problem; I kept trying and nothing happened. Then I realized that if I set the backlight to 0, it stays on fine.
I'm a novice in electronics.
Could you tell me which part might be damaged (inverter, capacitor, neon)?
I was thinking of trying to open it, but I'm not very keen on that.
Thanks
(sorry for the spelling mistakes)
Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 535.7

If under warranty, return to customer service.

Anyway, Samsung is low quality. I bought 3 TVs, 40, 37, and 32 inches at the same time, over 4 years ago, so no more warranty, all broke down.
The 1st: power supply overheating; capacitors (of poor quality) replaced (no results: normal, the capacitors are installed right next to a heat sink, so big problem, burnt board = chain reaction... need to make room: stay grouped
The 2nd: broken screen due to a projectile from a BB gun, okay fair enough, but super fragile, impossible to find a replacement; the purchase cost is more expensive than reinvesting in low-quality stuff...
And the 3rd: terrible backlighting, opened the beast, all the plastics are cooked, the neon lights are broken at the contacts, it's not pretty, so trash.
So no questions, I promised myself never to buy Samsung again; it’ll last 3 years. I know, they treat us like pigeons, pay, pay, and especially throw away: WASTE!!!
P.S.: I’m knowledgeable in electronics, I repair stuff, sometimes it works, especially when you change the power supply board all at once, for example, no need to look for it, just pay.
