LG LCD screen flash/bright issues

Hello,
I bought an LG LCD screen (119 cm) about 4 years ago which is no longer under warranty. For the past few months, my family and I have been seeing a flash, a flicker now and then while watching TV. We mostly notice it in the evening, but we have no idea where it could be coming from.
Your advice and diagnostics on this matter would be appreciated.

    Hello mezkaline,

    This may be due to your screen's video card, but it could also be related to your screen. To confirm, you should tell us if this happens when you watch a Blu-ray or a DVD, for example.
