Foxit reader and pdf file

Have you tried using Adobe Reader?

If it still opens with OOo, you can try opening it and then redo the complete save process...

Wow!! Thank you very much. I just managed to open it with OOo and quickly did the save operation again and it works.
I can open it again with Adobe.
I must have made a mistake somewhere but where?? I don't know. The important thing is that thanks to you I was able to recover my document because I would never have managed it on my own. Thank you again for taking the time to help "computerly challenged" people like me.

I don't think you made a mistake. There are times, as I have experienced with MS Office, when saving can introduce a small error in a file. I've encountered weird snippets of text or seemingly normal files that wouldn't open anymore. It's very rare but not nonexistent. In your case, the error must have slipped into the "technical" part of the file, where the program stores information about the length, the start and end of the text, and its format (PDF, doc, txt...), small enough to give it a normal appearance, but large enough to prevent it from opening in a PDF reader.

We have all been "computer-limited" at some point ;-)
