Shift the text in a forumactif message

Hello,
I have a forum on Forumactif and I would like certain parts of my text to be indented to the right, similar to a paragraph indent in my messages. The only problem is that spaces don't work and the tab key doesn't either, unlike in Word.
So how can I indent the text?
