Hello,

I'm looking for the title of a movie with the following brief summary.

It's the story of a mother-in-law who is terrible only to one of her daughters-in-law, while she only has eyes for her other daughters-in-law. One day, this mother-in-law falls ill, and the diagnosis is inevitable, cancer in a state of progression. It is at this moment that her beloved daughters-in-law choose to take off. Only the much-criticized daughter-in-law will remain to fight this illness...

      Indeed it's the movie I was looking for. More than 7 years later, I finally have the answer.
      French title: Mal à l'âme
      Original title: Between two women.
      Year: 1986

      If anyone has it, even on VHS, I'm interested.

      On Amazon.fr the DVD exists but in the German version (+ English)

    Based on your description, I think it's the TV movie "Cinderella Rhapsody" with Kathleen Turner, Marcella Plunkett, and Jane Birkin (Jane Birkin plays the role of Mab, a "Mermaid Fairy" living in a cave).

    My movie, I'm sure, I saw it before 1994 and not '98 as I wrote earlier.

    Honestly, I can't see it at all, but maybe you could help me. I'm looking for the title of a movie that retells the story of Cinderella. At the beginning of my movie, the father dies on a horse when he leaves for a journey, and the famous "Cinderella" finds herself alone facing her stepmother and her two stepsisters, but in the movie she gets along well with one of her stepsisters!! If anyone can help me that would be really cool, thanks a lot!!

    Hi quentin1994, I think you are talking about the Russian film THE LITTLE MERMAID, a fairy tale that mixes the story of CINDERELLA with that of THE LITTLE MERMAID. Does that ring a bell?
